Help me to create awareness

March 1, That means you can vote for the book The Pink Unicorns of Male Breast Cancer. The book has been nominated for the Peoples Book Prize ( non fiction). Alan is not interested in the honours he'll get. The only thing he wants is to get awareness for the fact man can get breastcancer too. When Alan is one of the first three selected, it will mean he has to go to London. Just think about the awareness should he be selected? So people, here is the link to vote. one of the most honest and ey-opening books I have ever read and about a subject that, if people (anyone) just would have told me the story, I would not ever have believed it existed !

If there is only one book your man in your life should read then its this one.
Written in a way that is thought provoking and emotional. A great read and hats off to Alan for bringing the subject of MALE BREAST CANCER to the public's attention

Somewhere around February 24th 2012 I was laying half-awake in my bed. My left nipple was itching. Sleepily I gently scratched it and felt a small hard lump just above the nipple. The lump was quite firm but painless. Although very curious I went back to sleep. I didn’t know then that Itching and dry flaky skin around the areola are some of the early signs of breast cancer in men.

Het was ergens rondom 24 februari 2012. Ik lag half slapend in mijn bed. Mijn linker tepel jeukte. Nog slaperig, wreef ik zachtjes. Ik voelde een kleine harde knobbel die pijnloos was net boven de tepel. Ik was nieuwsgierig maar viel toch weer in slaap. Ik wist nog niet dat jeuk en droge huid vroege symptomen zijn van mannelijke borst kanker.

Hiermee begint het Engelstalige boek Pink Unicorns of male breast cancer dat oktober 2016 zal verschijnen. Volg mijn blog voor meer informatie over de verschijning van mijn boek.
